Many people can be very materialistic, and it is necessary to keep "buying" their friendship. If you are materialistic, it can be very easy for you to believe that you have to spend money on others to have them as your friends. You do not have to ever "buy" your true friends. Ones who "buy" friends will end up with fewer friends, broke, and nothing to show for it. You may have been better off saving that money and spending it on something more useful, like a car. Most people do not want to have to continue "buying" their friendship. True friendships are priceless and unconditional, just like love.
Most of your friends are very positive thinking and after being with them, you come home with a positive attitude yourself. Many times you can not see this yourself but it is as clear to me as the difference between night and day. You need to stay away from "negative" people because they turn you into a "negative" person. Life is already full of many negative things without having to deal with negative people. Most mature people do not want to be around negative people and rather be with people that are positive thinking.
